Polymerization
processes are uniquely difficult to properly design and operate
at any scale, and particularly so for laboratory and pilot scale
units, whether batch or continuous. Depending on the chemistry and
process, the system design must account for highly sensitive catalytic
powders and slurries in minute quantities, highly viscous solutions
and melts, reactive slurries, reactive fluidized beds, runaway reaction
potentials, unintentional particle softening or melt freezing, plugging,
sometimes at high pressures and temperatures.
The design details, instrumentation, and control system must be sophisticated and proven to assure reliability of operation and results. Xytel has unequalled experience across a broad spectrum of polymerization requirements, touching on all of the major technologies and specialties, to assure the highest levels of operation and results.
