Xytel Corporation announces new president
Mr. Gerald Hill has been named president and chief
operating officer of Xytel Corporation, a provider of modular pilot
plants to the petroleum and chemical industries. Mr. Hill is responsible
for the overall management of all human and financial resources at
Xytel, including administration, engineering and fabrication.
Before joining Xytel, Mr. Hill was controller of Danly Machine L.P.
in Chicago, a manufacturer of metal-forming presses and aftermarket
repair parts for the automotive stamping industry. He initiated a
number of cost-savings measures in key areas and helped the company
achieve a financial performance turnaround in 12 months. Mr. Hill
has more than 15 years experience as chief accountant for diverse
manufacturing and distribution companies within the United States
and in locations around the world. "I am looking forward
to making a positive difference in Xytels operations,"
said Mr. Hill about his new post. "This is an outstanding organization,
and I am enthusiastic about contributing to its success." Mr.
Hill succeeds former Xytel president Dr. Robert Lo, now a company
director. In his new position, Dr. Lo will oversee process technology
direction at Xytel and the companys sales to India and China.
Dr. Lo joined Xytel as general manager in 1978 and became the companys
executive vice president in 1982. He was promoted to president and
COO in 1987. "This new responsibility will give me the opportunity
to focus on areas that have long been of interest to me," Dr.
Lo said. "I have a lifelong love of process technology and great
personal affinity for our clients in China and India."
Xytel is the premier pilot plant and mini plant company in the world with nearly 600 projects for more than 200 clients in over 25 countries during our nearly 25 years of operation. Xytel provides complete turn-key services for pilot plants and small commercial process units in the Refining, Polymers, Petrochemicals, Fine/Specialty Chemicals, Environmental, and Energy Industries.
